Turnip the Heat Cooking Private Event Ideas

*Birthday Parties for kids or adults

*Small Group Cooking Classes

*Dinner party cooking

*Bachelor or bachelorette cooking party

Private events for children start at $350 for up to 10 participants. Each additional child is $35.

Adult events start at $450 for up to 8 participants. Each additional person is $65.

I do not provide alcohol but you may bring wine or beer to enjoy during the class, if you are over 21 years of age. Drinks are also available for purchase from the bar at Old Salt Marketplace.

*Please be aware when scheduling a private event I will need to know if the guests have any food allergies before we book the event. This helps me plan a menu that all guests can enjoy. If a child has a severe food allergy I ask that I have their parent and doctor contact information (I usually call to get the emergency protocol for the particular child) and they have their Epi pen on site with them. I take food allergies very seriously due to the nature of the class and that it is held in a restaurant. **

  1. Hi Joanna, This is Missy, I wanted to check in with you about doing a private event with my group of six birthday girlfriends (6 total). We usually choose a restaurant but this is my celebration so wanted to see if we can do something with you. It could be at my house unless you prefer the space you rent. I wouldn’t expect you to teach us an entire dinner…you probably have some ideas of how it could work. Our biggest problem will probably be agreeing on a date! Let me know if this sounds at all possible and doable to you! I will fill in my info below, but here are my phone numbers…home 503-655-4629 and cell 503-807-0949. I loved reading about all you are doing with your business…especially the class for kids to make their own lunches for school!
