Turnip the Heat Cooking is offering our SECOND annual French Feast! On a date, with friends, or independently join us for a three-course meal inspired by the French seaside. Fresh, unique salads, hearty fish stew, and decadent dessert will help us celebrate the day of love (of food!!). The class is very hands on, so dress to cook and enjoy a huge meal. This class is Friday, February 13th at 6:30pm.
Also, are you learning to cook and want to feel more comfortable in the kitchen, especially when cooking for a special person? This class is for you! In Cooking for Your Date Cooking Class, we will be cooking up a delicious, romantic meal perfect to cook for a date night. We will be making steak, sides, chocolate dessert and a sparkling cocktail. Class is Thursday, February 12th at 6:30 pm.

I am always excited when a Thai cooking class is coming up! My favorite cuisine is probably Thai! I love all the fresh flavors; the herbs, spices, greens and rices. Next up is a few fabulous dishes from Northern Thailand.

and Khoa Soi, a terrific noodle curry dish topped with pickles, lime and shallots.

We have 5 more spots for Sunday afternoon’s holiday baking class! This is a great class to take with your son, daughter, niece, nephew, or grandchild! This class is open to students 6 years old and up with an adult, or 8 years old and older without an adult.
We will be kicking off the holiday season with sugar cookies and peanutbutter fudge! YUM!

Pie workshop for kids 8years and older at 3:30-5:30
Pie workshop for Families, for kids 6 years old and older 6:30-8:00
Classes are $35 per person. Each person will bring home 2 pies ready to bake.

All this rain is making me even more excited for Sunday’s kid cooking class! We will be making 2 pots of soup, a cheesy, whole wheat quick bread, and some gooey apple blondies.
This is the perfect class for kiddos 8 years old and up. We will be working on developing layers of flavors in a pot of soup, how to make a loaf of quick bread and why browning butter makes apple blondies OH SO TASTY!

Next up is Southern Thai Cooking on October 23rd, at 6:30 – a great night out with friends or a date, especially if you like Thai food! We will be making a 4 course Thai feast, complete with salad rolls, spicy soup, cozy curry and a coconut and dark chocolate pot de creme.
